Class Descriptions

3/4/5 Year Old Combo:  ballet, tap, and jazz combined into one hour per week 

Level 1 - 4:  ages 6 and up with placement based on years of experience, technique, performance, and/or ability to master choreography

Adult Tap:  beginner level for ages 20 and up 

Tumble:  tumble skills (cartwheel, round off, back handspring, aerial, back tuck, etc.) for ages 5 and up 

Company - designated classes for competitive level team dancers

Solo/Duet - designated classes for competitive level team dancers

Rubies & Royals - designated classes for current members of the KJH Rubies and MJH Royals dance teams 

Private Lessons - available to dancers of all ages regardless of studio or school affiliation

3/4 year old Combo (Ballet, Tap, & Jazz)

Approximately 10 minutes of stretching, 20 minutes of ballet, 15 minutes of tap, & 15 minutes of jazz.
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 5/6 year old Tap

Fundamental Tap Technique
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 5/6 year old Ballet

Fundamental Ballet Technique
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 5/6 year old Jazz

Fundamental Jazz Technique
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Hip Hop 1

Beg/Int Hip Hop
Ages 5-12

 Jazz 2

Intermediate Jazz Technique
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Ballet 2

Intermediate Ballet Technique
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Tap 2

Intermediate Tap Technique
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Hip Hop 2

Int/Adv Hip Hop
Ages 13 & up; 12 & under with approval of studio owner/class instructor
Students will perform a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Jazz/Lyrical/Modern 3

Advance Level Instruction in Jazz, Lyrical, & Modern
Genre will vary from week to week.
Students will have the option to choose up to 3 group numbers to perform in at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Jazz 1

Beginning Jazz Technique
Students will perform in a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Ballet 1

Beginning Ballet Technique
Students will reform in a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.

 Tap 1

Beginning Tap Technique
Students will perform in a group routine at our Dance Showcase in June.
